Can the Centrelink force me to work for the dole?
Seeing as you have a spinal injury, you cannot be forced to do physical labour and sitting for long periods is not advisable either. If you have another interest in something and it is attainable for work purposes, you could do some full time study with the job network people, they get paid to put you in study - training and this way you still get the centrelink payments and learn something new as well. This may be a way out of the "agreement". So think what it is you would really like to do and approach them and they will probably allow you to study. Basically Centrelink wants to see you doing something for the money they give you, why don't you do something that interests you, You may find you like it. Good luck
