Troubles with Windows Movie Maker?

Ok, I've never used WMM(Windows Movie Maker) before, and I want to start making videos and post them on Youtube. But whenever I open WMM up, it does that Error thing where it says "Send or Don't Send" to Microsoft or whatever then closes. I tried reinstalling it but it didn't work. How do I fix it? Or if you know any free Movie Making programs like WMM, it'd be awesome if you could tell me. Oh and I have Windows XP on a Toshiba Laptop, I don't think that would make a difference though.
