Have you modified a Paseo for better performance?

DoN't JuSt PoSt No pLeAsE! I just bought a 92 Paseo that's a five speed. It's stock and not that fast i just bought it cause its reliable, good on gas, and looks good. i was wondering if anyone has or had a Paseo that was modified and could actually win some races. I don't know if it would be worth it to keep this car when the tyranny or motor goes out and i put in a more powerful engine and transmission and better suspension. i would like to know about the different modified Paseo's out there///
