Why do men always take off when us women have their baby?

Seriously, why do you men ditch the mother of your children and just run away and do whatever you please and pretend like you never had a child and pretend like it never happend? Why would you want to miss out on your child's life? Your child should be the most precious gift that you will ever receive in your lifetime. You always here of deadbeat dads, and never deadbeat moms, well thats because us moms take responsibily for our actions and because its always the father who runs out. Why dont men just grow up? Explain!
