Is the TV commercial jingle an endangered species?

I also noticed this on either a online news site or in the paper. Many TV & a few radio ads use other artist's songs as their jingles. Ex: "All Around the World" by Oasis (AT&T); "One Way or Another"(?) by ??? (Swiffer); "Get What You Need" by Jet (old Chevy ad) I don't think I can recall a original jingle from this millennium from some company listed on the NYSE. Only local businesses here in Bakersfield still have the jingle, such as a Carpet Outlet Plus ad which I hear regularly on the radio or one from Green Frog Market. So have u herd any original jingles? From which company or business? Or is it pretty much just local businesses that write or compose their own jingles?
