If you smell like alcohol can you be fired?

I do not do drugs but I do drink. Last night I had literally 8 beers over 9 hours. After my last beer it was about four or five hours before I walked into work. I did not shower, I had two cups of coffee, a ruby red gfruit juice Dole drink, lots of water, wore the same clothes I had worn out that night and eaten a danish. I had a panic attack at work (i've been having them and shaking a lot lately) and went to the sick room, later an HR representative told me they were taking me to an Urgent Care center to submit a urine and blood test. By the time the test was taken it was about seven hours from my last drink... I'm not really worried about the results of the test but rather more my rights and an employee. If I'm not drunk or have alcohol in my system but smell like alcohol, can they do anything about it considering we have a no drug or alcohol policy? They said I cannot return to work until they get the results back and then they call and "talk about my employment"... So I'm a bit freaked out. I've worked there for four years and really don't want to lose my job. If it does come back positive is there any way of fighting it or getting a second opinion? I ask because they have ed me around before and I'm worried they may try to do it this time too.
