Does this mean I'm not pregnant?

I don't have any home pregnancy tests so I took one of my ovulation tests that said I am not ovulating. I have heard both ways - that pregnancy causes ovulation to be positive due to hormones it secretes. I have also heard that pregnancy because it makes ovulation end will give a negative response. Does anyone know for sure?
