African/congolese recipes?

My boyfriend is from Demographic Repulic of Congo and I was to surprise him with a nice cooked meal (instead of the typical ukrainian food i make all the time lol) but I don't even know where to start! To all the congolese people out there, what would you want your man/woman to cook for you! Recipes would be great too!
